If you’d like to boost your dog’s diet with freeze-dried raw nutrition but don’t want to completely replace their current food, you can use Nutra Complete wet or dry as a mixer. Simply reduce the amount of your dog’s food by a small amount, and replace it with the same amount of Nutra Complete to avoid overfeeding.
Or serve it completely dry! Nutra Complete can be served at any consistency your dog prefers. Feel free to modify the amount of water as needed, or serve it as-is.
And if you want to fully transition your dog from dry or wet food to Nutra Complete, here are some simple instructions to help:
Transitioning to Raw Food in 10 Days
If your dog is new to a raw diet, their body may need a little time to adjust to the dense nutritional content of Nutra Complete (Especially if your pup is small.) That’s why I recommend starting slowly to avoid overwhelming your dog with too many new nutrients at once.
Begin by replacing just 25% of your dog’s food with Nutra Complete for the first meal. Gradually increase the amount of Nutra Complete in each meal for about 10 days, until you’ve reached 100% Nutra Complete. Your transition plan should look something like this:
Day 1-3: 25% of Nutra Complete with 75% of your pet’s current food
Day 4-6: 50% of Nutra Complete with 50% of your pet’s current food
Day 7-9: 75% of Nutra Complete with 25% of your pet’s current food
Day 10: 100% of Nutra Complete!
If you notice any tummy issues or digestive upset as you fully transition your dog to Nutra Complete, feel free to take it at your pup’s own pace. There’s no rush, so if you need to stay with one step longer than recommended, do what works best for your dog.
